We should point out that since we start averaging out scores in 2007, Crystal's average score of 1.95 is the second best of all-time. Only Melinda Doolittle's 1.76 was stronger. In 2008, David Archuleta was the top scorer with a 2.10, and last year Danny Gokey was top overall with a 2.63 score.
Interesting to note that for the last 3 years, the person with the top high score did not win American Idol.
