Talk about the top 16 here

This won't come to a shock to you unless you've been hiding under a rock today and have been trying to NOT learn what's new in American Idol news - turns out that David Hernandez used to work at a "themed" bar or two as an "exotic performer".

CNN has i-reporters. The American Idol Pool has i-Idolers. Thanks to Brian, Mandy, Darby, Corona (caution possibly not safe for work), and Kathryn for sending in links about this story. Click on any of their names for the link they sent in about this.

If you'd like to talk about that or anything else about the top 16 this week, please post away below!

I don't care what Simon says. Jason Castro's version of "Hallelujah" was not brilliant....Paula's chicken wing comment to Simon after Danny sang was, though.

Wait...I deleted my last post because I messed it up...what I was trying to say was that I agree with Will. Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah is perfect and shouldn't be touched. Especially by a douche bag like Jason Castro.

Sean McNamara, who is nine years old and picked Taylor Hicks to win in his first audition, absolutely hates Jason Castro. I don't mean to sway any voters, but this is the first time that he has ever expressed extreme aversion to an Idol contestant. His mom has a huge crush on David Block after that rockin' sexy version of "Hello."

Two questions:
1) Is it possible that Paula cut her own hair this week?
2) Can Paula EVER finish a sentence or full thought?
I'm so confused by her riddles.

Dolphin shorts for everyone! You're a bright shining star.

I don't think I agree with all of you on Jason Castro. He is totally worthless outside of singing, but I kind of like him when he performs. On a side note, his embarrassing story was by far the most embarrassing. Ew.

Also, this is my first season watching Idol, so what I'm about to say may be old news, but I am so sick of Randy saying, "It started a little rough for me, but..."

About Paula's haircut...I've noticed that in weeks past it looks like she has on a helmut. He hair does not move at all!

Strike one against Simon is saying that he thinks of "I Drove All Night" as a Celine Dion song. Strike two against him is that he says it's not a great song.

I don't have much experience with this, but do dreadlocks really break off? And why? Because it's just gross dirty hair? I kind of want to throw up every time he's on. What a cool stunt it would be if he shaved his head in a few weeks. Let's start a campaign.

It is now 11:50 pm on wens night and I'm sitting here trying to come up with the order of the last 16! Are you all fretting like I am? I mean, some of them are "dorkie", but good singers. Some of them are "cool", but not so hot in the singing area. I can't mess with this at work tomorrow. However, I am a teacher and maybe I could do this as a class assignment???....a critical thinking essay, maybe? Would I get in trouble? Oh well, here they go into the hat. I hope I win!

Personally, I think this is the hardest top 12 that I've had to fill out for this pool yet. It was really difficult for me to pick which 4 would go out tonight, and it was even harder for me to try to order the top 12.
