Here's the winner of Dutch Idol, Nikki Kerkhof, singing the Dutch Idol finalist song, "Hello World". The finals were just this weekend.
Sometimes I wish that American Idol would use upbeat finale songs with crazy dancers like this. Why does every finale song need to be chintzy/schmaltzy?
PS, yes the video is about 4:00 minutes of singing and 3 minutes of people talking freaky deaky Dutch.

American Idol Pool Dues and Payment Information!
*****************EDIT******************
Hello everyone,
In an effort to make the payment process easy, we went with PayPal. Little did I know that PayPal was going to charge us each time someone paid a credit card through PayPal. So now, there are only two ways to send your dues to Matt Lane:
1) IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT, feel free to continue to send the payment through PayPal.
2) If you don't have PayPal and don't want to create an account, please pay the traditional way by cash or check to Matt Lane (address below).
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks to Jan Weigand and Darby for being the first people to use PayPal and being the guinea pigs. Don't worry, you guys are all set!
Thanks,
JoJo Conroy

Hello American Idol Pool,
The American Idol Pool Financial Resources Committee has once again asked me to chair the payment process for the $10.00 "contribution" that you all need to pay to be part of this year's tournament. Thank you for your continued understanding of my personal situation. Your thoughts and prayers over the past year have helped me and my family rebuild from a series of traumatic and embarrassing events. Matt Lane will once again serve as my assistant on all financial matters.
We have some exciting new initiatives to share with you, so please read this email closely. Included is information about how to pay and what the pay-out scale will be for this year's tournament!
PAYMENT:
Later on today, you will receive an invitation from PayPal to deposit $10.00 into Matt Lane's bank account. For those of you familiar with PayPal, you know that it is a very safe way of paying on-line. If you already have a PayPal account, transferring money is as easy as clicking a button. If you don't have a PayPal account, it is very easy to create one. It has come to my understanding that cashing 80 checks for $10 is quite time consuming (sorry, Matt!), so PayPal is the preferred method. For those of you resistant to PayPal, you can forward cash or checks through snail-mail to:
Matt Lane
1407 W. Summerdale Ave. #3
Chicago, IL 60640
Payment is due by March 15th!!!
PRIZES
With close to 80 participants this year we have approximately $800.00 to play with so the prizes are going to be bigger and better than ever. Idol Pool Headquarters has been consulted and the AIPFRC has come up with the following pay-out scale.
That brings us up to $640
Two new awards this year include:
1) The LOSER of the pool will receive a cash award for $10. This one is for you Beekmans and Fiorettis! The $10 will off-set the sheer amount of heckling that you will have to endure.
2) The person who comes out of the starting-gates strongest in their initial top 12 will receive a cash prize of $25. For example, if you are the only one to guess the right 12 contestants and go 12 for 12 in week 1, you will receive the $25. In the event of a tie, the person who sent their picks to the Idol Pool Master first will receive this prize.
The remainder of the money will go into the "Winner's Pool" and be split among those who have correctly identified this year's American Idol. If you are the only person to correctly identify this year's American Idol, you get the whole side pot! If more than 10 people guess the right person, then the money will be donated to "Idol Gives Back."
Thanks for reading, everybody. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me, JoJo Conroy, at jojoconroy@gmail.com. And with all else Idol-related, the Idol Pool Master can also answer your questions.
Best of luck, friends!
